WHAT'S IN A NAME?

You probably are wondering how I got the name Goodbye Girl. It started as kind of a joke among my sister friends because I always seem to have a new boyfriend or guy I was seeing. On the outside it appeared that I was callous in my dealings with men. On the inside, I knew what I was doing :)

Today, the name has taken on a slightly different meaning. It now is symbolic of not only intimate relationships but life experiences. Saying goodbye is a release, clearing, up rooting, a separation from things, places, people and situations. For me, its always been a sign of positive growth because I really make a focused effort to get the lesson, gems, gifts and opportunities out of each experience. My dad always told me ,"if you are holding something in each hand and you want something new; you have to let go of something in order to receive a new thing." I guess its learning to spiritually travel light ;) For with each release, you are creating space for deeper insight, wisdom and blessings. I think by saying goodbye, we are saying "yes I'm available to receive" to the universe.

I hope this does not seem random. LOL I'm still getting my blog bearings.......
